Hickory logs can be found mostly in the third and fourth zones of each of the alliances. Some of the samples may be also obtained in the last, fifth, zone. Due to their dull earthy color, hickory logs can be hard to spot, unless you've invested into the Keen Eye: Wood ability. One log can be harvested for three to four samples of the raw material, Rough Hickory. Once ten samples of rough wood are collected, they can be refined into seven to ten pieces of the processed material, Sanded Hickory. Hickory staves and bows, as well as hickory shields, are crafted from the refined hickory wood at any woodworking station. In order for you to create hickory gear your Woodworking ability has to be rank 4.
