The Champion of Cyrodiil is a mysterious hero who was credited with rescuing and protecting Martin Septim and recovering the Amulet of Kings from the leader of the Mythic Dawn cult, Mankar Camoran, during the Oblivion Crisis of 3E 433. After Martin smashed the Amulet of Kings and sacrificed himself in order to stop Mehrunes Dagon from destroying Tamriel, the hero was then rewarded with the title of "Champion of Cyrodiil" by High Chancellor Ocato of the Elder Council for his services to the Empire. He was also credited with slaying the lich Mannimarco
