Double check

I just copy-pasted the quests from the NPC who gives the quest info onto Chorrol Fighters Guild, so that list is not necessarily complete. I did not want to revert back to the old marker on the incomplete tag without consulting you, and also I could only think of language that was informal sounding: "needs double check on Related Quests and..." Anarchangel 13:37, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

I just added a few quests to the list - and removed two Fighters Guild-related quests (Information Gathering and Infiltration). I did this because, to the best of my knowledge, they are not associated with the guild chapter itself. They are undercover-quests given by Modryn Oreyn from his house and are kept secret for the other inhabitants of the chapter. If this was the wrong assumption, they can just be re-added to the list. Other than that, I'm positive the list is complete. -- Krusty 14:11, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

Helping Out

Hey GuildKnight, I saw that you had a lot of things to do for your Current Tasks section. I can help if you want me to, but unfortunately only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, because of school (I just added the note to my user page). I have Oblivion ready for access, but I'd have to get in-game info. My help will be limited, but I still want to contribute to the site, and with school, friends, and (ughhh) homework, I won't be able to work on some of my big project ideas. Just wanted to ask if you wanted any help with the tasks, and if you don't need any it's alright with me :) Oh, I'm gonna have to retire to bed soon, but I'll try to reply as soon as I can (probably in the morning). -- Jplatinum16 02:44, 5 January 2010 (UTC) Edit- Looks like I'll get more time on the site after all; you can add Thursdays to the list of days I'll be active. My teachers don't give homework on Thursdays, due to some workdays in January.

You're welcome to work on whatever you like. Check out the Oblivion NPC Redesign Project and the Oblivion Places Redesign Project. My main tasks, which I'm trying to get back to work on, are related to both. Exactly how you'll be able to contribute, though, depends on what platform you play on. --GKtalk2me 03:08, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
I'll be on the 360; and I've already done some work on the npc redesign (but only on inventory). I can do some verifying for the places redesign, and maybei can write some walkthroughs. I also might want to create some of the pages you listed. Oh, by the way, who Is the the pretty female on the right of the banner on your user page? -- Jplatinum16 03:26, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
A lot of the pages I wrote still need an in-game check... Krusty could probably let you know where he left off. And that's a picture of me on my userpage. --GKtalk2me 03:47, 6 January 2010 (UTC)

Thanks(userpage) and questions(Images)

Super Sweet! anyways... could you take a look at my two pics that I have recently contributed. I think I'm starting to get the screenshot thing. ---(v ;...;)>--- Smallpoxx 05:14, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

NPC images should be square. And you're welcome.  :) --GKtalk2me 05:18, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

Response to Email

Actually; no (I couldn't even find any comments made by this "Tiber"). I have some comments on the "Guest Blog", but both of those are from Timmeh. The blog seems to of not gotten any new stuff since I last peeked at it. --Tim Talk 14:03, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

OK, just a wild guess.  :) Anyway, let us know when you'll be back around, huh? --GKtalk2me 14:06, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

Help

Could you help me please. I have accidently deleted something. Manic 22:17, 18 February 2010 (UTC)

Sure, but I think anything you've deleted has already been restored. What is it you're referring to? --GKtalk2me 22:18, 18 February 2010 (UTC)

Something Strange

I've seen something strange on Elliot's talk page. It's a strange message made by an anonymous user. I think you might want to take a look at it. --ModderElGrande 23:49, 18 February 2010 (UTC)

It's Elliot's talk page, so if he doesn't want it on there he can delete it. It doesn't say anything that goes against our policies. Also, continuing the conversation only encourages it, and it's not a conversation that could benefit the wiki in any way, no matter what the outcome. --GKtalk2me 23:51, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
Alright. --ModderElGrande 23:53, 18 February 2010 (UTC)

prod map redirect

Yeah, that was the wrong place to mention it i guess. Somehow the 600x600 preview was the old file while 400x400 and full resolution were correct. I guess imagemagick was having one of those days. I got a little distracted when i found out you have been cleaning up after me all this time, thanks. I'll try to get the filename right the first time from now on. Marcel 21:55, 21 February 2010 (UTC)

Thanks :)

thanks for taking out the code I forgot to take out (of my main page I mean). Right now I'm playing mmorpgs, I'll go back to oblivion in about a month or so :) anyways, thanks again, for cleaning up my page. Mikeyboy52 03:44, 2 March 2010 (UTC)

You're welcome. Have fun! --GKtalk2me 12:42, 2 March 2010 (UTC)

Priest vs Priestess

Thanks for changing the Priest and Priestess around on the Great Chapel of Mara page. The only reason I put the Priest entry first was because that was how it would have appeared in the old template; I didn't take the time to read different pages and figure out if that was the best order or not. She is clearly the predominant figure there and should be listed first. There may be a couple of other instances where it makes sense to change the order as well, now that we can. ‒ Robin HoodTalk 19:04, 2 March 2010 (UTC)

No problem at all. As soon as I saw that they could be re-arranged, I knew there were some pages that could use it. --GKtalk2me 20:27, 2 March 2010 (UTC)

Basically

So, basically, if someone can't do something, and tries to tell people it doesn't work, I can't tell them otherwise? Seriously?Bllasae 20:03, 2 March 2010 (UTC)

If telling them otherwise benefits the article, then sure. However, this person posted a comment on the talk page, where it was discussed as it should be. WRFan's intention was to improve the article. I fail to see how your comment could have been intended to help improve the article. --GKtalk2me 20:24, 2 March 2010 (UTC)

Help Please

GuildKnight, (I am not sure if I have gone through the proper steps to contact you) I asked Cactus this and he has directed me to you. I have been gathering information about unmarked Daedric shrines on the Oblivion forums and now have a list. How should I go about adding it to the wiki, what page, what format? And so on. I know this information is not on the wiki already so please let me know how I can contribute. (and let me know if you find any other shrines!)

Thanks, Romenum

I'd suggest posting your suggested additions on the talk page of the Oblivion unmarked places article for discussion. I'd also suggest registering a UESP account, or if you already have, editing while logged in.  :) --GKtalk2me 22:16, 12 March 2010 (UTC)

Need Some Help

I need to propose Morrowind:Restocking Alchemy Merchants for deletion since it's redundant (all the info is covered at Morrowind:Alchemy Merchants the problem is I have no idea how to do this.--TheAlbinoOrc 18:39, 16 March 2010 (UTC)

Just add the tag {{Proposeddeletion|reason for deletion}} (or {{Prod|reason for deletion}} for short) to the top of the page. Never mark a proposed or speedy deletion as minor, it should always be "major", so to speak. Robin HoodTalk 19:34, 16 March 2010 (UTC)

Thanks !--TheAlbinoOrc 13:56, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, looks like there's some kind of problem right now. GK is on, but I can't get on either, so it may be something server-specific. Robin HoodTalk 19:56, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

Importstylesheed

This won't work. You have to add importStylesheet('UESPWiki:Javascript/reorderCategories.css'); to your monobook.js The instructions on UESPWiki:Javascript are probably not clear enough, but I'm not good at writing instructions. -- Nx / talk 23:03, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

umm...

hi there's something really weird happening on my wacth list your user page is on it and when i come to your page it says that it isn't o do you know why?--GUM!!! 12:49, 28 March 2010 (UTC)

I'm not sure I follow you... what's happening on your watchlist? --GKtalk2me 14:53, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
ok i'll try to make that clearer when i go to my watch list it says that i'm watching your page but when i go to your page to stop wacthing it up in the corner where the watch button is it says watch instead of unwatch so if you know why and how to fix it please tell me--GUM!!! 15:25, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
No, I don't know why it would be doing that, but you can remove a page from your watchlist in the watchlist page. Click on "my watchlist" at the top of the page, then click on "view and edit watchlist" just under "My Watchlist (for GUM!!!)" on that page. In the table of contents, click on "User" to go to the user pages you're watching, and tick the box beside "User:GuildKnight (Talk | History | User Contributions)". Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Remove titles". Voila! --GKtalk2me 15:32, 28 March 2010 (UTC)

ok thanks!--GUM!!! 15:38, 28 March 2010 (UTC)

thanks!

hey i just wanted to say thanks for deleteing the charicters talk page cause as i said on my edit summanary(first time using it!)it didn't belong on UESP so i just want to say thanks!--GUM!!! 22:20, 28 March 2010 (UTC)

Gemellus Axius?

Honestly the image was cropped to portrait for aesthetic reasons and to fulfill the tag request - if something other than 1:1 square was desired, please do elaborate, if the trend is simply to revert edits by new users in response to page requests I'll be glad to quit right now ;) Really just trying to help (figure I've gotten enough of UESP, might as well give back) - simply calling the contribution "worthless" or "unncessary" doesn't improve anything. Walbert 16:54, 29 March 2010 (UTC)

I appreciate your efforts, and I apologize if anyone called your contribution(s) "worthless". The page tag says, "This article could benefit from an image that is square, showing more of the NPC." We prefer square images for NPC pages because it balances the page better with the summary layout. The new image is square this time, but it shows less of the NPC, not more. Ideally, another image would be taken that is square and shows more of the NPC. Let me know if you have any other questions, or if there's anything else I can help with. --GKtalk2me 17:40, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
GK, it can't be taken "square" (at least as I'm understanding what you want) - it will always be rendered "rectangle" by the engine, so either a portrait shot or what (3/4 angle?)? (I can take some caps from in-game to try and accomplish this) Is the goal to put the image over the NPC Info box? (Similar to how Wikipedia displays articles for persons). Walbert 18:17, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
Just chiming in here, but I think the best way to understand exactly what we are after is to check some of the NPC pages - Amusei, Methredhel, Big Head, Bur-Meema and so on. All of them have square images, showing more or less the whole of the NPC - which means you will have to cut the sides of the original framing to achieve the size. --Krusty 18:24, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
Hopefully GK won't mind me popping in, but since I've taken a good deal of NPC images I might as well chip in my two cents. When we're talking about a square image we mean something like 600x600, 800x800, 1000x1000 etc. Of course screenshots always appear rectangular (unless you have a rare square monitor :P), which is where cropping comes in. I use PaintshopPro to crop and adjust images, but any imaging program should be fine. In general, NPC images should show them (whole body or from the knee up) and the surrounding area on the sides - which explains the need (or want?) for square images. --SerCenKing Talk 18:47, 29 March 2010 (UTC)

ok you've got a 1000x1000 image of Gemellus Axius - the amount of time spent griefing me over this could've been spent making the file, and I'm honestly left wondering how a generally helpful resource like UESP can be so unhelpful to those who wish to contribute Walbert 22:14, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
