Notes

  • Guildhalls were defined as any location owned and operated by a specific faction (whether an actual in-game faction like the Fighters Guild, or an un-official faction, like the Suran Slave Market.)
  • Forts & Barracks are military bases, whether full-fledged forts or merely sleeping quarters for guards and soldiers. This may also include combat training facilities.
  • Temples includes religious gathering places for either the Tribunal or Imperial Cult.
  • Taverns are informal gathering places, including inns, where food and drinks are served. Many of them double as Thieves Guild or Camonna Tong headquarters, but they are included as Taverns and not Guildhalls for the sake of clarity.
  • Booksellers is self-explanatory
  • Alchemists also includes Apothecaries, which are pretty much indistinguishable.
  • Clothiers is self-explanatory
  • Blacksmiths are any merchants who deal mostly with armor and weapons. Many also offer repair services.
  • Traders are merchants who deal in a wide variety of general goods. Also includes Outfitters and Pawnbrokers.
  • Magic Shops is a mixed bag of spell merchants, spellmakers, enchanted item merchants, and enchanters. Many of them offer more than one of these services.
  • Tradehouses are locations where mutliple merchants are available, offering a variety of different services.
  • Union Halls are gathering places for laborers in various trades. They are all found in Vivec, and most of their services (if any) are fairly useless to the player - they generally sell "clutter" items if anything. Some of them have related quests. These may not be significant enough to warrant their own pages.
  • Libraries are places with a high volume of books which aren't for sale. One shelf full of books does not a library make. Aside from places actually called "Libraries", this includes places with at least two full shelves of books.
