This is a custom template created in a user space. It is not to be transcluded into any other namespace.

	Purpose: No Collaboration: Only the user who owns this page is allowed to edit it. If you have any comments or suggestions, please use the talk page.

Summary

This template creates a standardized header for placing at the top of sandboxes in my userspace. The main features are that it can {{#save}} the current purpose, collaborabtion, and status of the sandbox for use by other pages (as exemplified in my Userspace Layout template), and that it incorporates the functionality of the {{Editing Allowed}} template for its collaborabtion settings. For further details about how this all works, please see my "smart sandbox" explanation. There is also an archived discussion from the time when this template was being created, which may prove helpful for other Editors who want to fork this template for their own use.

Parameters

The title of the box at the top of the sandbox is taken from the first parameter, which also determines the icon in the left of the box. The message that appears inside the box is dependent on the second and third parameters passed. If the third parameter is omitted, it will default to the default setting of only allowing the owner to edit this sandbox.

sndbx	required	The name of the sandbox, in lowercase letters only.
purpose	required	A simple sentence that describes the current purpose of the sandbox. Keep it brief, as this will appear in lists. Can be accessed from other pages through the use of {{#load}}.
collab	optional	This is exactly the same as {{Editing Allowed}}. Can be omitted for default, or choose from one of the following: all All users are allowed to edit this user page. spelling All users can edit this page to correct spelling and grammar. However, please do not make any changes other than spelling and grammar. user Only the following editors are allowed to edit this page: {{{2}}} default Only the user who owns this page is allowed to edit it.
users	see note	This is exactly the same as {{Editing Allowed}}. If collab is set to user, this parameter can contain a list of user names, which can be formatted, including the use of the {{user}} template.
status	optional	Displays an icon to show the current status of the sandbox. Defaults to fill. fill Content has recently been copied from another page, but not edited yet. ready Content is complete, and ready for roll-out to its intended destination page. wait Waiting on input from someone else. There may be an Image Request or other reason for this hold. text Adding or reviewing text content of the page. image Adding or replacing images on the page. link Adding and/or verifying links on the page. templ Adding and/or verifying templates that are used on the page.

†	This could be better achieved using {{#titleparts}} and lowercasing the page name, that way I could still bottle it and sell it to other editors on this wiki.
