Tivela Lythandas, a Dunmer commoner, is the wife of Rythe Lythandas, the famous painter living in Cheydinhal. Rythe has recently gone missing during A Brush with Death, and she will ask for help in getting him back.
During the related quest, she wanders around her house, worried about her husband. At midnight, Tivela will go to sleep, waking up at 4am. After she has been reunited with her husband, her schedule returns to normal. Tivela starts her day with breakfast at 6am for three hours. At 9am, she goes outside and wanders Cheydinhal for about ten hours until 7pm, returning home afterward. At midnight, she goes to sleep in her bed. When it is raining, Tivela skips her stroll and wanders inside instead.
She wears a russet felt outfit and russet felt shoes. She also carries a medium-sized amount of gold, Corn, and the key to her house.
You may have heard a rumor in Cheydinhal about Tivela's missing husband: "Poor Tivela. I hear she is turning Cheydinhal inside out looking for her husband, Rythe. I hope nothing bad has happened to him." If you ask about it, they'll explain: "Rythe Lythandas is one of the greatest painters in all Cyrodiil. Sadly, he's gone missing. His wife, Tivela, is beside herself with grief.", starting the quest A Brush with Death. When you go see Tivela at her house, she will ask for your help: "I'm Tivela Lythandas. I apologize that I can't give you the respect a guest in my home would normally receive, but I am at my wit's end. I am sorry to be so forward, but I desperately need your help. It seems that my husband, Rythe, has gone missing, and I just don't know what to do." You can then ask her about him: "Yes, my husband is the Rythe Lythandas. Have you heard of him?", after which you can either tell her there's no time for idle chatter: "Oh. Yes, of course you're right. I shouldn't be telling stories when he could be in danger." or tell her you haven't heard of him: "You haven't? That's strange. Rythe is known far and wide as one of the best painters in all Cyrodiil. His speciality [sic] is setting the Great Forest to canvas. The paintings look so amazingly real that some say they can see the trees sway in the breeze. That's a silly notion of course, but it just goes to show the attention to detail Rythe uses when he paints." When you ask her to provide more details about his disappearance, she will explain: "Yes. Rythe likes to work in his studio with the door locked, so no one can disturb him. He usually comes out to eat dinner and sleep, but two days ago, he didn't come out at all. At first, I wasn't worried. He does that occasionally. But when he didn't come out for a full day, I unlocked the studio with the key he said to use only in emergencies. It turned out he wasn't inside! I'm sure he never left that room. So I have no idea where he's gone. Please. Help me find Rythe. I love him dearly, and I am so worried." If you tell her you can't help, she will be disappointed: "Of course. I understand. Well then, I must be on my way. Perhaps someone else will come along who can assist me." If you tell her you will find him, she will be overjoyed: "Oh!!! Thank you so very much! Here's the key to Rythe's studio. You may come and go as you please. If you need me, I'll be around the house. Do hurry, I miss my love so much."
If you refused to help first, she will ask for your help again upon entering conversation: "Have you changed your mind? I miss my husband, and fear the worst." If you accept this time, her dialogue will be slightly different than when you first accept: "Oh thank you! I knew there was good in you. Here's the key [...] love so much" Refusing will anger her this time however: "Then, at the risk of being rude, could you please stop disturbing me? I'm very upset, and the last thing I need are false hopes.", after which the conversation ends with a deduction of 10 disposition points. Asking her to explain about his disappearance again will also anger her and end the conversation: "Well yes, of course. Why are you asking me these silly questions twice?"
When you return with Rythe, he will walk up to her and tell her what happened. After the conversation, she will express her gratitude: "Oh! I don't know how to thank you! You've brought my husband back to me. I shall always count you as a friend." When asked about Rythe after this, she will say: "My love is home again. I'll never leave his side." When the quest is finished, she will honor your presence at her home when she greets you: "Please, share the hospitality of our home."

Notes
- She has additional dialogue for A Brush with Death that is never used in-game. This is because Rythe may have been intended to be able to be killed, but he is obviously needed to paint a portal to get back. Because he is the only character needed to complete the quest, aside from Tivela herself, she will never get to say what she would say when an important NPC died prematurely: "Please leave. I have no wish to speak with you any longer." or when she sees you: "Please leave me alone. I have important things to do."
