Shivering Standard

Hi, I noticed you had done some tweaks to some of the Settlement pages for the Isles. A few of the pages I worked on and put in the order: Description, NPCs Living Here, Quests Starting Here, Related Quests and indented everything with colons. I only did this because the majority standard for the Oblivion settlement pages are this way. Now please, do not think I'm butthurt or trying to tell you to change it back or anything even remotely like that, if it sounded that way then I apologize :) <-see even a happy face meaning I meant no harm. Anyways, since you and I seem to be doing a lot of the "major inflating" to the Isles pages, and this is a different section than Oblivion anyways, I wanted to know which way you wanted to go with it. If you want to go: Description, Quests, People, with the asterisk bullets; Then that's cool with me. I just wanted to know for future edits, again I'm sorry if I sounded like a jagoff, it honestly doesn't matter to me. Thanks for not hating me I hope. --AlbinoMudcrab 02:15, 3 April 2007 (EDT)

Hi there. No offense taken at all. I was just assuming that those pages had all been filled in randomly. Here's my opinion on these pages:
  • Because the Quests section is usually shorter than the People section, I like it to be placed first so that hopefully at least the "People" heading will be visible without scrolling down.
  • I like the destinction between quests that just start there and quests that take place there, but I was feeling a little funny about the "Quests that Start Here" wording. How about putting it as "Quests Begun Here".
  • As for the asterisk bullets, I prefer them, at least for the quests. It helps to signify that each one is separate. Hopefully the people sections will soon be tables, like the Oblivion People, but until then, I like to have the bullet to point out each person.
  • Oh, and I prefer to use "People," rather than "NPCs," because the name of the page they're listed on is Shivering:People.

Minor Question on SI

You know on Oblivion that all the gates close after the main quest, do the Obelisks of Order disappear at the end of SI? Really noobish question I know, but I haven't got far yet :-) I was thinking this info needs to be added to the end of The Prince of Madness page. -Lordsword 8 13:18, 15 April 2007 (EDT)

The Obelisks of Order are deactivated when you complete the Shivering Isles Main Quest. This info has now been added to The Prince of Madness page. --GuildKnight (Talk) contribs 13:25, 15 April 2007 (EDT)
Thanks for clearing that up -Lordsword 8 13:26, 15 April 2007 (EDT)
Another question sorry, is it possible to get both Golden Saint armour and Dark Seducer armour? Also thanks for the support :) -Lordsword 8 06:34, 22 April 2007 (EDT)

I'm not sure about that... you might wanna ask on the corresponding talk page(s). Sorry. And you're welcome :) --GuildKnight (Talk) contribs 15:51, 22 April 2007 (EDT)

Thank You

I just wanted to say thank you for the cookie. I've been here for almost a year and that was the first one I've got, so it meant a lot to me. I love working together with our little (well I guess it's getting pretty big) community and for the exceptional help and friendliness from contributors like yourself. Thanks again :) --AlbinoMudcrab 01:38, 19 April 2007 (EDT)

You're welcome! By the way, have you ever considered being a Patroller? --GuildKnight (Talk) contribs 21:23, 19 April 2007 (EDT)

re: You're Back

Um...no. Should I? I mean, it would be easier, but I can make mistakes and such as often as any editor, especially as unknowledgable as I am actually. Somercy 21:02, 19 April 2007 (EDT)

Good point, I just don't feel I need to check your edits as badly as I need to check other edits. A couple extra red !s next to your edits won't bother me, though. --GuildKnight (Talk) contribs 21:08, 19 April 2007 (EDT)
Yeah, yeah, you know I'm no vandal, but I am misinformed, and people can correct or elaborate on my work. Example being Shashev, yesterday's work. I could do some, but people can do me better. Somercy 21:11, 19 April 2007 (EDT)

Images question

I'm new and not familiar with the policy or standards for images. I'm a big fan of screenshots and of Oblivion scenery and so forth, and alot of articles could certainly use a screenshot or two, but I'm not clear on whether or not it would be appropriate to have say, two images of a Scalon (although I have a few good ones). Similarly motivated question: do we do redirects and disambigs? Using the same example, would we want Shivering:Scalon to redirect to Shivering:Creatures#Scalons -- or maybe to a disambig between Shivering:Creatures#Scalons and Shivering:Scalon Statue? Thanks for your help! --Cheeser1 23:15, 17 June 2007 (EDT)

I'm no administrator, (and inactive if you note the notice on my userpage) Nephele or TheRealLurlock could probably answer your question more thouroughly and accurately than I. --GuildKnight (Talk) contribs 09:06, 18 June 2007 (EDT)
