The Alchemist's Shack is a small wooden shack located between Haemar's Shame and Ivarstead.
The shack is a single story building that appears rundown, with the doors and windows missing. It can be seen from the road from Helgen to Ivarstead. There is a wattle-fenced garden to the rear, with an alchemy lab to the right of the rear doorway. There is a barrel containing ingredients between the shack and the lab. The following plants are in the garden with the mushroom by the side of the shack and the bird's nest in front, to the west. This is a good area to find blue butterflies and butterflies during the day and luna moths at night.
As you enter through the front doorway you will find two shelving units; the one on your right contains a philter of the warrior and two books. The shelving unit in front of you contains a gourd, a sample of glow dust, two carrots, three red apples, and a butterfly in a jar. The jar can only be found in this shack and respawns with the rest of the shack. Between the two shelving units is a barrel containing ingredients and a basket containing two leeks. To your left as you enter is a bed (unowned). Next to this is an end table holding an alchemist's journal and an apothecary's satchel. This end table does not respawn, and can be useful as a storage option. To the right of the rear exit is a bucket containing a sample of blisterwort and hanging above are a garlic braid and a sample of frost mirriam.
- One can find the continuation of his adventure at the Alchemist's Camp, and the alchemist himself at Evergreen Grove.
- The items will respawn over time, except for the end table beside the bed
