Polinus is an Altmer soldier of the Veiled Heritance, evidently in charge of their operations in Del's Claim. When you enter the main chamber of the occupied mine, he will notice your presence interrupting his reading: "Who's there? I was just getting to the good part!" Approaching too closely will cause him to attack you, crying "for the Veiled Queen!"
