The location shown on the map has been moved.

The new location is just to the east of the Troll guarded nirncrux mine.

Take the path south from the Skyreach wayshrine and turn east at the "T", then north on the short path toward the mine. It is on the right side of the mine entrance, on a rock outcrop.

You should be able to collect the rewards without being detected.
