Lives of the Emperors is a historical book written by Niso some time after 3E 417. The book likely deals with the Emperors of the Third Empire, namely the Septim Dynasty. The contents of the text is largely unknown; only two short extracts are known of.
The first extract describes the devastating political effects of the Imperial Simulacrum:
- "During the 10-year rule of the Impostor Jagar Tharn, the provinces were shattered by four devastating wars, and the political policies of the Imperial administration fell into shambles. But for the Restoration, there would be no Empire today."
The second describes the Second Numidian Effect, better known as the Warp in the West:
- "Among the most significant results of the Second Numidian Effect are the foundation of the orc city-state Nova Orsinium; the transfiguration and apotheosis of Mannimarco, King of Worms; and the return of Zurin Arctus, the Underking, to the affairs of men."
Both of these events took place during the reign of Emperor Uriel Septim VII, in the final years of the Third Era.
Notes
- The book does not appear in any of the games. The extracts are taken from the History section of the Codex, originally hosted at the official Elder Scrolls website.
