Lainlyn is a city in western Hammerfell, in the Alik'r Desert, on the eastern bank of the Iliac Bay.
In the middle Second Era, the city was called Tava's Blessing and was later renamed after the Lainlyn family. During that time, it was home to one of the most important shipyards of the Daggerfall Covenant. In 2E 582, most of the citizens were killed and raised as Ra-Netu by the cultists of the Withered Hand, but the cultists were driven away shortly afterwards.
In the early Second Era, as well as in the late Third Era, the town was the capital of the Barony of Lainlyn. Its official military force was the Host of the Horn.
After the Warp in the West, Lainlyn came under the dominion of Sentinel.
