Quest Offer

This quest is one of several in the random pool of Merchant/Innkeeper quests. It is also very similar to another Merchant/Innkeeper quest, namely The Courier.

Merchant/Innkeeper:

My name is (questgiver's name). I have a simple task. If you could see your way to delivering an item to a friend of mine, I would be grateful to the tune of (random gold) gold pieces. What do you say, (player's first name)?

or

Hi, I'm (questgiver's name). I need someone to drop off an item for me. It's a just a short trip across town, but I'm too busy right now. There's (random gold) gold in it for ya.

Quest Acceptance

The merchant/innkeeper goes on:

Great! Here is the package. Take it to (receiver's name) here in town. (He/She) will pay you. It needs to be there by this time tomorrow.

or

At last, someone willing to work for a living. Just take this to (receiver's name) here in town. (He/She)'ll give you the (random gold) gold. Get it to (him/her) by this time tomorrow.

Quest Decline

The merchant/innkeeper answers:

Too bad.

or

You don't have to get uppity about it! I'll have to find someone willing to work for a living.

Quest Object

You will get a random item you must deliver to a person in the same town. One day should be enough time to complete the task. Ask around in town until you know where to find the package's recipient. Sometimes you will be ambushed by burglars who want to steal the package from you, although there is only a 25% chance the burglars will appear. If you give them the item, you will fail the quest. To complete the quest successfully you can run or you can fight them.

Quest End

Hand over the package to its recipient and collect your reward. Upon obtaining the package, the recipient says:

I was hoping (questgiver's name) would be able to get this to me in time. (He/She) has been so busy lately. Here is the (random gold) (he/she) promised you.

A successfully completed quest results in a reputation gain according to the table below.
