A Wolf's Story

Chapter 1

One morning, a young wolf was with her mother. While they were walking, the mother noticed something. Far away, there was a bear. The mother told her daughter to run away. She ran as fast as she could, then stopped. "What am I doing?" she asked herself. "I have to save her!" As she turned around, she saw her mother struggle with a broken paw, and the bear was about to squish her like a bug. "Mom!" The little wolf ran and bit the bear in his side. The bear turned, standing on his hind legs. "Get some!" Cried the wolf, and ran, with the bear close behind. She kept going until she hit a camp. She saw some poison in a glass, and dipped a sharp stick into it. The bear didnt see that the wolf stabbed him, and fell down. He was getting weaker and weaker and weaker. Pretty soon he could not breathe. The wolf said, "Hey, this stuff is dangerous. I think ill take it." She then took a small sack and filled it with meat and healing potions and poisons, then tied it to her back. "Im coming Mom!"

When the young wolf came back, her mother was very weak. "I can not go any further. Do you see that big city out there? They call that the Imperial City. You must go there. Listen carefully. Do not attack the humans. There is one that will help you. Do not talk to the humans, except the one that will help you. Blessings of Mara upon you, Destiny." Then Destiny watched as the light in her mother's eyes go out. "Goodbye, mother."
