From now on, I'll be using this page to store any Elder Scrolls poetry I come up with, until I find it worthy of it's own place and a place on the fanfiction page.--Kalis AgeaYes? Contrib E-mail 03:31, 26 January 2012 (UTC)

This is essentially a free-verse poem about an Altmer Psiijic hero named Ormis of Artaeum. Not really the best work ever, but I found myself in the mood for something like this after picking up Homer's Odyssey again...

I.

Gather 'round and hearken, my friends,
To a tale of wonderous acts and deeds.
A legend of such grandeur is this
That few live who still know it to be true.
This humble poet claims not to ever have
Known the great man in question,
But the annals of our vast history
He has come to be know as Ormis of Artaeum.

II.

"A name is but a name", my father would say,
And in most cases he's certainly right;
But the name of Ormis had gained such weight
That none who live haven't heard it.
The poets of his time have remained well known,
Chief among them Syndir of Alinor.
And it was this poet who wrote first of the man
Whom we know as Ormis the Shadowslayer.
