Guide to the Imperial City
by
Jack Dalley

Hello! You have just picked up a copy of the Guide to the Imperial City by me, Jack Dalley!

There are ten districts of the Imperial City: Market, Arboretum, Temple, Talos Plaza, Elven Gardens, Palace, Arena, Arcane University, Prison and Waterfront.

Imperial City, Market District

The Market District is one of my personal favourite districts as it has all the shops to buy new, old, dull and exotic things! There are many shops including: Alchemy stores, Magic stores, Jewelery stores, Book stores, Armour stores, Shield stores, Weapon stores, Clothing stores, General store, Inn, Food store and of course Vinicia Melissaeia. Vincia Melissaeia takes all the merchant complaints in the city she fills out loads of forms and sends it away to do what? Nothing... To be honest it's a waste of time even going to Vincia. The Alchemy stores: The Gilded Carafe and The Main Ingredient. The Gilded Carafe in rumours is a fine store with a terrible name, what really matters is the store, it has all sorts of exotic potions and Alchemy Equipment but if you want ingredients there isn't many... The Main Ingridient sells some potions and some Alchemy equipment but sells loads of ingredients, so if you're looking to be a Master Alchemist you have to go to both stores. Next the Magic stores, there are two Magic Stores in the City, The Mystic Emporium and Edgar's Discount Spells, The Mystic Emporium sells both spells and Magic equipment, you'd be wise to visit him magisters! Edgar, on the other hand sells only spells, as he says "You don't want the best, you want cheap and I got cheap." so if you are out of money magisters and you need some simple spells see Edgar! Next the one and only Jewelery store, Red Diamond Jewelery. Red Diamond Jewelery has a selection of beautiful and not so beautiful rings, necklaces and amulets... If you are looking for a wedding ring come here! The Book store, The First Edition. A fairly nice store although Phintias can be a bit feisty at times... He also has a rare book called "The Armorer's Challenge" Blacksmiths, if you can read buy that book! Also there is many knowledgable books like, The Wild Elves, if you're intrested in the Ayleids. Next the Armour stores, there is to Armour stores in town, Fighting Chance and The Best Defence. The Fighting Chance has more weapons that armour but has a little selection of helmets, Rohssan can also teach you a lot about Armorer. The Best Defence on the other hand has a wide selection of armour, from light to heavy. You don't want to be in that store when the two of them are having an argument about whose armour is better, light or heavy, Maro Rufus thinks that light armour is better because it's pretty and heavy is so big and ugly. Varnardo on the other hand likes heavy armour better because it's real armour and not fluffy light armour. Anyway whatever armour you want they have got it in here. Shield Stores, there is one Shield Store in the city, Stonewall Shields, a nice shop and has a lovely shield called "Tower of the Nine" it is a Blades' Shield but it is heavily enchanted although it is quite costly. Slash and Smash is a weapon store, also The Fighting Chance is too. Slash and Smash is a store owned by an Orc who says his shop is the big Orc weapon shop but no matter what your race you can go inside and buy some of the fantastic weapons he has in there. The Fighting Chance once again, this time she has loads of weapons. If you are looking to compete in the Arena go and visit either of these good keepers. Clothing stores, every good city needs one! This one is called Divine Elegance. It is owned by Palonirya, the hardest person to get her prices down. She has a nice selection of clothes and every castle unless it is a rubbish castle has her designs or they're nobody. The Good General store, in this district there are two, Three Brothers' and The Copious Coinpurse. Three Brothers' is a brilliant shop, two of them are the sellers and one of them goes out and gives out Black Horse Couriers. All hardworking people, you'd be wise to see them as one of them has a nice enchanted blade. The Copious Coinpurse, a nice enough store, has many things and he is the cheapest owner in the whole district, you go in with a full purse, you go out with a full purse. There is one inn in the market, the Merchants' Inn, it is a fairly nice inn and it only costs 20 gold pieces to get a nice bed, business people stay here! Now the Feed Bag, a nice place to get food and drink, it's not that fancy and it has been known to give you food poisoning.

That's it for the Market District, on to the Arboretum.

Imperial City, Arboretum

The Arboretum is a nice place, a lot of people go there after working or so just to relax, I really enjoy it, to get the most out of the Arboretum you should walk in it either at Midday or at Midnight, the sun shines on the stone, the moon shines on the plants. It is just beautiful. If you were to get a job in the Arboretum you'd probably be building or fixing the statues or being a gardener keeping the lovely plants lovely. Other than that there isn't much more to say about the Arboretum. Although it is nice to watch the Arena slaughterings and then just sit down in the Arboretum for a while.

Like I said there isn't much to say about the Arboretum.

Imperial City, Temple District

The beautiful, beautiful Temple district, a fantastic place and a place where you can worship all of the Nine Divines in the Temple of the One. Akatosh, Arkay, Dibella, Julianos, Kynareth, Stendarr, Talos, Zenithar or Mara. If you have lived a good life by the Nine that is, otherwise they will scold you and tell you to purify your muddied soul. There are many people who live in the temple district from the poor beggars to the rich people. Alessia Ottus and her family also live here, Alessia Ottus also writes guides but she tries to tell you about the downside of everything rather than the goodside. I try my best to put in every little detail. The guards here are good on there watch, don't let nothing happen whilst they're there. There is also an inn here, the All-Saints inn. It is a nice inn. Not that costly. Whilst in the Temple district you have to respect everything. It is just a good will, respect the priests at the Temple of the One and they will respect you. Simple as.

That's it... Next the lovely Talos Plaza!

Imperial City, Talos Plaza District

Here lies the home of the famous, Tiber Septim Hotel, it costs 40 gold a night to stay but it is well worth it. It is a beautiful place filled with beautiful wine and people! Talos Plaza is a noble sort of place you see many people dressed in good clothes, many of them are quite snooty. But not as bad as Sir Lazare of Skingrad. There is a noble here called Jakben, Earl of Imbel. He only ever goes out at night, don't speak to him all you get in return is a few nasty comments.
