Foreword

A Recounting of the Fall of Vitharn
By Vicentris Vitharn
Great-grandson of Count Cirion

Prologue

As the Prince Cirion ascends to the throne in order to succeed his mother, Countess Sheen-in-Glade, his illegitimate brother -- Cyroxis Vitharn, Duke of Dementia -- sired Lord Vaetrelzar from his union with Lady Elentir. A series of misfortunate events led to the death of Duke Cyroxis Vitharn, and the capture of Vaetelzar. Vaetrelzar was the only remaining heir, though his illegitimacy made it difficult to assert himself as Prince. After only a few years, Count Cirion's hold over the Fanatics was beginning to slip considerably.

And it was only a matter of time before the Fanatics rebelled and attacked Vitharn. Let me tell you what Prince Vaetrelzar's place in all of this was.

Chapter One: Birth of Vaetrelzar

In the glory days of Vitharn, Cesrien, son of Csaran and Nweala, was Count. He vanquished the enemies of Vitharn and proved an amazingly charismatic leader for both his people and their Fanatic allies. He sought to eventually remove Sheogorath himself from his seat in Sheoth Palace. However, his ambitions were never realized as his life was cut short in his thirty-second year. His only son, Cirion, was too young to rule, and so his Manic wife, Sheen-in-Glade, took the throne in his stead. This did not, however, sit well with the Fanatics, due to her Manic heritage.
