Medora Direnni is an Altmer of the Direnni Clan. She is the current mistress of the Direnni Tower, previously known as Adamantine Tower, the oldest known structure in Tamriel. She was the court sorceress and secret lover of Lysandus, the former king of Daggerfall. After his death, the dowager Queen Mynisera banished her from the Daggerfall court. She went back to her island kingdom of Balfiera. However her bad luck didn't end there. Nulfaga in her madness cursed Direnni Tower and turned it into a prison for Medora. It is said that the Hero of Daggerfall lifted the curse; in return Medora helped him in his efforts to put Lysandus' spirit to rest.
