Shields in provide additional protection from enemy attacks, and require one hand to use, thus limiting your options for which you can use. There are four basic types of shields:

  • Bucklers: small shields that protect your hands and left shoulder.
  • Round Shields: circular shields that protect your hands, left shoulder, and waist.
  • Kite Shields: larger shields that protect your hands, left shoulder, waist, and upper legs.
  • Tower Shields: tall shields that protect your hands, head, and your entire left side.
