Gahvan Isle is the main island in the Telvanni Isles. Although it holds the capital of all the House Telvanni lands, Port Telvannis, most of the island is undeveloped, with the only other settlement of significant size being the Sadas Plantation on its westernmost tip.

One reason for the lack of development might be the terrain. The island is extremely hilly, and most of the flatter areas are packed with standing stones, while the sandier areas away from the hills are full of mushroom trees. In ancient times, the other obvious building land was used by the Dwemer for Bthzundcheft and for daedric cultists for Yashazmus, although both are now succumbing to the local vegetation.
