Hello.

This is a record, for my own and others' amusement. A record of times past from playings of the Elder Scrolls gaming series. A record of foolish mistakes, weird glitches, and hilarious coincidences.

3-31-13 The Day of Draugr Doom

So I was traveling through Soljund's Sinkhole when I reached the boss of the mine, a Draugr Death Overlord standing in front of a chest and two irritating totems (one that blasted me with fire, the other that healed him). I realized that I could run back into the tunnel I had entered from without him following me-- evidently, he was too chicken to fight me without his totem-things. So I took the fight to him. Problem is, I was roleplaying, and really didn't want to die (I was level forty-something on Expert level, no deaths yet...). So once the beast took a few swings at my head, staggered and nearly killed me, I ran for it. I leaped over some table to get the chest, which contained Meridia's Beacon. Now I really had to survive! So I fled for my life, sprinting through tunnels, always heading upward. I knew the rotten draugr was following me, could hear him shouting after me. Finally I made it to the point where you fall down the sinkhole, and took a sharp right. A little more running, and there was Perth and Tuthul. I figured I'd made it, that the Death Overlord couldn't have followed me this far.... Nope. Suddenly Perth sprinted toward the sinkhole, weapon in hand, shouting threats. I turned just in time to see a desiccated arm swing out and fling Perth across the tunnel and down the sinkhole. Hol(e)y! I didn't wait to see the rest of the draugr appear. Instead I shoved past Tuthul and ran for the exit, thinking "man, just give it up already, you stupid corpse". I could hear a brief scuffle behind me, metal clanging-- then an echoing thu'um, then nothing. I left the mine and didn't stop running until I could fast-travel. I ended up in Rorikstead, where I heard a dragon overhead (I mean, come on! When can an elf get a break?!). Then a courier caught me and told me someone had left a letter and sum of gold for me. It was from Perth. Then the same thing-- from Tuthul. This was too much! I left Perth and Tuthul to fight back a monster I'd fled from... and they paid me! Now all I could think of was how I hastily left the scene after seeing Perth struck down, the arm that had reached around the corner and knocked him down a sinkhole....

Giant Catastrophe

Now, I'm sure everyone has their own story about the time a giant catapulted them sky-high with a single swing. Mine might be a little more interesting. See, I was fighting the giant in hand-to-hand combat, and slowly losing. (>:\) The giant raised up for a final blow, and seeing that his health was nearly gone I took the chance, darted in, and used dual flurry. Well, I succeeded! The giant died! But... his hammer didn't. As I watched the giant fall backward, hammer in hand still, somehow the blow still hit me. It was the final straw on the camel's back and it killed me. Problem was, I was in a cave (Sleeping Tree Camp) at the time, and the blow blasted me through the roof. Apparently all this glitchiness was too much for my poor XBox, because it decided to freeze. With a hilarious picture of my character halfway through the roof and a weird stretching effect that linked the giant's hand to my character's leg by way of warped hammer. All I could think was gosh darn it why can't my 360 take pictures?!
