Eshe has been an editor for eight months and has been incredibly active on the site ever since. She became a patroller only a month after registering and since then has been a huge help in improving the site, hunting down vandals and answering questions. As other admins have become somewhat less active she has stepped into the breach and has essentially been doing an admin's job for the last few weeks. I believe it's time she got the extra buttons so she can do the rest of the job too.

Questions

Q1: What goals do you hope to accomplish as an administrator?

A: My goal is simple: I just want to help. While I would never go so far as to say the current admins need help, I do think that an extra pair of hands could certainly make things a lot less stressful for them. I'm often available at times when non-students (and non-US residents) are working or unconscious, so I would be able to take care of things that would otherwise have to wait. Hopefully with just a couple of extra tools I would be able to help things continue to run smoothly while doing the same sort of editing I've always done. –Eshetalk12:28, 4 March 2008 (EST)

Q2: What do you foresee as being challenges or issues that UESP may face in the near future? Are there are any changes that you think need to be implemented?

A: As I see it, UESP is in a sort of "perfecting" stage. The down time between major releases is a chance to go back and fix / reorganize / overhaul / finish what we've already got. The challenges we're dealing with now (and will continue to face for a while, I'd say) are centering around the question of how to make the site even more informative and easy to use. As a result, most editors are in some way contributing to one of our many redesign projects, which require a lot of organization, planning, and discussion—great for community-building, great for the site, and not always so great for individual sanity!
I think we're headed in a good direction and I can't think of any real changes I would make to the way things already are. With any luck, the efforts being made now will make the chaos of TESV less overwhelming. I do think it's important to encourage discussion and new ideas, but by and large that's happening already and the wiki is a better place for it. –Eshetalk12:28, 4 March 2008 (EST)

  • Definate Support - Just the other day I was telling myself, "She should be an admin." But I could not nominate her for I am not an admin. I truly think that she should be one. I see no flaws in her edits. Heck, she's even broken into the top 5 most active users! I know that my vote does not count as much for I'm not even a patroller, but I am one active user. Currently at #25 I beleive, and have been editing for about 8 months. What I'm trying to say is that I've seen A LOT of editors, and she is by far, one of the most well respected (to me atleast). She deserves it. Good Luck. --Playjex 14:23, 4 March 2008 (EST)
  • Support — I would have nominated her months ago, around the same time I nominated Rpeh. My only hesitation was that we didn't really need many more admins, and Rpeh edged out by giving us the advantage of coverage in the European time zone. Still, not needing more admins is no reason not to have them. She's certainly capable and clearly dedicated, so I think she'll make a fine addition to the team. --TheRealLurlock Talk 17:15, 4 March 2008 (EST)
  • Strong support - I am very happy to see Eshe being nominated. She is a great editor and a wonderful person. She will be a great admin. --Mankar CamoranTCE 07:02, 6 March 2008 (EST)
  • Support - Despite my unofficial conversation with her today in which lines were drawn and then artfully pranced across, I think Eshe would make a great administrator for the site. --Ratwar 00:43, 9 March 2008 (EST)
  • Support - Eshe has clearly been one of our best editors for some time now. She's always been particularly good at reaching out to and helping new contributors to the site, which is a definite asset for an admin. She has also been exceptionally willing to dive in and tackle cleanup tasks, no matter how mundane or tedious; given that such tasks make up the majority of the admin-specific tasks, she'll be a great help! Over the last few months, it also seems that Eshe has made some extra progress, proving that she really is ready to be an admin. Her confidence in handling difficult patrolling-related questions has increased. And I was reassured to see her excellent work revamping the Oblivion mod pages. Although admins are not expected to focus on (and don't even necessarily need to help with) large-scale edits to articles, I think it still is tremendously helpful for admins to have some familiarity and first-hand experience with large-scale rewrites. All in all, I think Eshe has demonstrated that she is fully ready to be a great admin :) --NepheleTalk 15:43, 9 March 2008 (EDT)
  • Support - Eshe has contributed much admirable work to the wiki and has taken on important roles in several of the wiki's projects. Becoming an Admin will let Eshe add even more excellent contributions to the site.--Willyhead 17:14, 9 March 2008 (EDT)
  • Support - Yes, Eshe has demonstrated having an excellent insight in the workings of the wiki. For one, she is not afraid to participate in large cleanups/overhauls. Despite what she says about current admins not needing help, I think adding her as one will contribute greatly to the admin coverage of this site. The times I've seen here deal with difficult issues/controversies she has done so professionaly. --Timenn < talk > 09:35, 11 March 2008 (EDT)
