Dwarfmp

I've joined the site about 8 months ago with absolutely no knowledge on wikis. I joined thinking I could help improve the site after having been using it to help me out in Oblivion, since it was so professional as opposed to other wikis. I learnt quickly by being active daily and became a userspace patroller not long afterwards. My activity on the site, or specifically my contributions, has since declined, however I still check the recent changes every day (pretty much safe to say).

Rpeh believed I was a recent changes patroller a few days ago, such things make me think that I'm eligible to be one. I believe I have reduced the habit of making silly mistakes (like forgetting to sign, spelling and grammar, I've also once been confused enough thinking the yellow box was the new version and the green box was the last version so I reverted a good edit) to a minimum. Though I may only have trustworthy knowledge on Oblivion only, rest assured, I would NOT patrol an edit of which I'm not sure of it's correct.

Naturally, I will not lose focus on the userspace should I become a full patroller. Additionally, with the upcoming Skyrim game, an extra patroller may prove valuable (despite the fact I will do a lot of playing and very, very little editing I'm sure). Of course, that's not a good reason to nominate oneself, but this is merely an extra note. Basically, you'll be getting a careful and userfriendly patroller, with a tendency towards professionalism. So support my nomination if you trust me, or if you disagree, by all means do oppose, as the most valuable information to me is an explanation why I shouldn't be a patroller. Hints and advice are always very welcome as well. Thank you. ~ Dwarfmp 15:29, 13 June 2011 (UTC)

  • Support: I was an IP user back when Dwarfmp was an active editor, and his edits have been, the majority of the time, useful. And he has always been a well-meaning editor at that. Honestly, I too thought that you were a Recent Changes Patroller. Full support from me.--Kalis AgeaYes? Contrib E-mail 20:05, 13 June 2011 (UTC)
  • Support: Having collaborated many times with Dwarfmp, I think he is an excellent team player and a really good contributor. While I have lost count of his many articles, all of them are pure excellency and shows great research all around; my faves are the Golden Saint, Syl and Thadon pages, but there’s a lot more. He also takes great pride in his work and does not shy away from voicing his opinion. Lastly, he is one of the very best “photographers” we have, with a ton of excellent stills under his belt. In short; let him feel the pain of patrollership! --Krusty 20:29, 17 June 2011 (UTC)
  • Support: Until I just saw this page I really thought he was a recent changes patroller. I have never come across any poor work from this user and I think he has alot to contribute so full support from me too! --Manic 20:38, 17 June 2011 (UTC)
  • Support: I haven't had much contact with Dwarfmp, which is a shame. Having looked through his edit summaries, it's obvious he's a reliable editor and would be a great addition to the Patroller team. Dlarsh(T,C) 21:09, 17 June 2011 (UTC)
  • Support: Definitely. I have to keep reminding myself that Dwarfmp isn't already a patroller. His edits are always accurate, helpful and reliable so there's no problem with him getting my vote here. rpeh •TCE 22:15, 17 June 2011 (UTC)
  • Support: Just. I have no doubt that Dwarfmp is an excellent, competent editor that has shown great in-depth knowledge and the will to tackle challenging and time-consuming projects. I have no issue with his edits and I'm long past the point when I have to check his edits. However, having your edits auto-patrolled is only half of the job. Looking through his last contributions, "patrolling" edits are painfully missing. Nonetheless, I'm going to support this nomination in the hope those kind of edits will show up a bit more in the future. --SerCenKing Talk 11:43, 18 June 2011 (UTC)
  • Support: Why not? I can't think of much he's done off hand, but I know that I haven't ever had to clean up anything wrong, or anything. --DKong27 Talk Cont 12:25, 18 June 2011 (UTC)
  • Support: Dwarfmp shows a willingness to take on large projects and has done some great work on the wiki. I would certainly trust his judgement for patrolling edits. If he wants to take on the responsibility, I say let him have it! --Legoless 12:36, 18 June 2011 (UTC)
  • Support: An easy enough decision, Dwarfmp is one of our best. I have no qualms about his edits being automatically patrolled in all spaces. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 23:45, 18 June 2011 (UTC)

Kalis Agea (Nomination Withdrawn)

I've taken the past 3 weeks to consider whether or not I should try to become a Recent Changes Patroller. And in these past three weeks, I have found absolutely no reason for me to not, at the very least, apply. My time on this wiki has been short, but I have been a sort of "ghost" IP user for nearly a year (a year in June). I used these 8 months to familiarize myself with how this Wiki works. In addition, I read through nearly every edit to the namespaces (although I am often beat to reverting the edit by one of the Patrollers) when I'm not editing. And that brings me to my next point: in the 2 months I've been on this wiki, I've made well over 450 edits, most to the User (my page and sandboxes), Oblivion (ONPCRP), and Lore (general rewrites and expansion) namespaces. Lastly, even though I have only been a Userspace Patroller for a month or so, I have patrolled Namespaces and Userspaces in this brief time and even before as an IP. Hmm... I seem to have gone off a bit of a tangent.

In any event, even though this may be a bit premature, I have had a nagging voice telling me to apply for about a month now. And if I've damned myself to the 3-month wait, then so be it. Thanks for reading! (and please vote) --Kalis Agea 00:10, 18 May 2011 (UTC)

Comment: Please withdraw this nomination, you are on my list of future patrollers I admit. But you are unqualified as you still need at least 250 edits in content spaces (Talk, user, file, and UESPWiki don't count). One look at your edit count tells me you still don't have enough content edits to your name. Answering questions and helping people out are important parts of the job, but we need to know that you are just as competent in content space as in talk space. I'd imagine that a good number of your user edits are your edits to your sandboxes, which undoubtedly is very useful and I'd consider roughly an extra 50 to 100 of your user space edits to be content edits. Regardless of this however you still just haven't put in the time for us to say "Yes, we can implicitly trust your editing, and you are good enough to judge other user's edits.". I'm going to come out and say that I believe that you will be a full pledged patroller before the end of June, but you just aren't ready yet. If you withdraw it now you won't have to wait the extra three months before applying again. I look forward to voting for you the next time you apply! --AKB Talk Cont Mail 01:45, 18 May 2011 (UTC)

Reply Sure, I understand. Nomination Withdrawn. I hereby withdraw my nomination. I can delete this nomination if you like. --Kalis Agea 02:04, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
Comment: I'd prefer for the record to be kept actually, it is always good to keep an extra example of proper procedure in the nomination archives. I just ask that whichever admin closes this doesn't count this against Kalis as a proper nomination, and that Kalis Agea will have the opportunity to apply again without a three month waiting period as this was withdrawn without a single vote cast. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 02:15, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
Comment:Pfffff who's this "Kalis Agea" guy? ;) I'll go ahead and move it. --Kalis Agea 02:22, 18 May 2011 (UTC)

Legoless

Quite simply we haven't had an editor so clearly qualified to be a patroller in a long time, if ever. Legoless has been making absolutely brilliant edits across all the namespaces, has readily accepted advice when it was offered, and has made real improvements to the site. Personally, I'm weeks past the point of treating his edits as "patrol on sight", which has always been a standard criterion for the patroller role, and I'm sure he'll be a great addition to the patrolling team. rpeh •TCE 23:43, 7 May 2011 (UTC)

  • Support: I have no concern with Legoless' edits being auto-patrolled and he seems to interact with other editors politely, so he's a shoe-in as far as I'm concerned. --GKtalk2me 18:02, 9 May 2011 (UTC)

Alpha Kenny Buddy

I've been considering applying to become a Recent Changes Patroller for a while now. I've long since run out of legitimate reasons not to at least apply. I've only been a member of this wiki for a short while now, but I've been active for nearly all of that time. I'm a committed editor who has taken on more than one task and seen it through to completion, no matter how boring or repetitive the task got. I am also great at asking questions for help or waiting to here if the community has any opinion on any task I take up before I start it and as I work on it. This is not because I usually need the help or guidance so much as I care about what other people think, and take their thoughts and opinions into consideration. Though I have only been a Userspace Patroller for a short time, I have been patrolling for a while now. If you watch Recent Changes you know I watch it like a hawk as long as I am online, which is most of the day. I believe that as a Patroller, I will lessen the load on the active patrollers, who currently have to patrol both my edits, reverts, and the edits I revert. Basically I will continue doing what I have been doing for the past three months, just with new privileges. Thanks for reading, and please vote. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 00:14, 14 April 2011 (UTC)

  • Support: Lets just say that he does a lot of tedious work that nobody else wants to. Then I always seem to be the one to Patrol all the edits...But really, he does great work. I would welcome him to the team! :D --DKong27 Talk Cont 00:33, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
  • Support: I think he's fit for the job. He's done some good work on the wiki, and he does watch the recent changes a lot (often ninjaing me in reverting some of the bad edits). --Pwnageincarnate 01:10, 14 April 2011 (UTC)Pwnageincarnate
  • Support: I concur with what DKong27 said. To be specific, AKB is almost always one of the first people to catch and revert vandal edits. I can see absolutely no reason why he shouldn't become a patroller. Kalis Agea 01:09, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
  • Support: Undoubtedly qualified and capable, as shown by the huge number of edits he's been performing recently. rpeh •TCE 08:28, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
  • Support: He has been doing a great job. --Brf 13:26, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
  • Support: He is doing such a good job at the moment. He deserves this so much. JackTurbo95 13:44, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
  • Support: No doubt about it, AKB is ready for patroller duties – and hopefully he can avoid the “inactive-after-successful-nomination”-disease. --Krusty 13:42, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
